New Titles for January 2013!

january

I still can’t believe that January is here. It’s a new year and a clean blank page to start on. I for one intend to start out this new year by reading a whole stack of awesome books. Here are our picks of books that are coming out this January that you really ought to check out.

Allison- The TimeKeeper and Prodigy

Timekeeper is the spellbinding sequal in the Timeless series. Alexandra Monir’s combines breathtaking romance with a tale of complex magic in a sequel that will have every reader believing in the transcendent power of love.

Prodigy is the highly-anticipated sequel in the Legend series. As June and Day continue on their journey the unthinkable happens and they are forced to question what they believe. What if revolution must be more than loss and vengeance, anger and blood—what if the Patriots are wrong? Marie Lu delivers this story in a breathtaking thriller with high stakes and cinematic action.

Kelsey- Reaper by L.S. Murphy and Level Two by Lenore Appelhans

Reaper  is the story of  Quincy Amarante, and there is no way she will become the fifth grim reaper. None. Not over her shiny blue Mustang. Her Jimmy Choos. Or her dead body. She’s supposed to enjoy her sophomore year, not learn about some freaky future Destiny says she has no choice but to fulfill. It doesn’t take long for Quincy to realize the only way out of the game is to play along especially since Death can find her anyway, anywhere, anytime. And does.

Level 2 is the story of Felicia Ward, except Felcia Ward is dead. Trapped in a stark white afterlife limbo, she spends endless days replaying memories, of her family, friends, boyfriend … and of the guy who broke her heart. The guy who has just broken into Level 2 to find her. When Felicia learns that a rebellion is brewing, and it seems she is the key. Suspended between heaven and earth, she must make a choice. Between two worlds, two lives and two loves.

Bobbie- Splintered and Paper Valentine

Splinetered is a stunning debut from A.G. Howard, I fell in love with it the minute I read the synopsis.  Alyssa Gardner is just a girl who can talk to bugs and flowers. She also takes care of her mentally ill mother while falling in love and trying to stay out of a twisted version of Alice in Wonderland.

Paper Valentine is a haunting tale of love and death. Hannah lost her best friend over the summer and she just wants her life to go back to normal. But her city is all in a panic thanks to string of murders. Before she can stop it from happening she is swept into a world of ghosts and horrifying secrets.

What are you looking forward to reading this month?

Hmm… right now I’m reading Practical Paleo. Probably the only book I’ll get through this month!
